Control natural light, privacy and room appearance throughout the year with the BKQYG™ Detachable 2-Layer Blackout Curtains.

Each curtain combines a soft linen-look outer panel with a removable blackout liner. The two layers connect using concealed snap fasteners, allowing the curtains to be adjusted according to the room, season and preferred amount of natural light.

Use the outer panels alone for soft light filtering, or attach the blackout liners when greater privacy and room darkening are needed. The detachable construction also allows the outer curtains and liners to be cleaned separately.

Key Benefits

  • Includes two complete curtain panels
  • Removable blackout liners provide flexible light control
  • Concealed snaps keep the layered appearance clean
  • Outer panels can be used separately for light filtering
  • Attached liners help darken bedrooms and media spaces
  • Layered construction helps reduce heat transfer
  • Provides greater nighttime privacy
  • Linen-look fabric creates a soft, modern appearance
  • Metal grommets support easier opening and closing
  • Separate layers simplify washing and maintenance

Detachable Two-Layer Design

Each curtain consists of two coordinated components:

Linen-Look Outer Panel
Softens incoming daylight and provides a decorative fabric appearance while maintaining a brighter room.

Removable Blackout Liner
Attaches behind the outer panel using concealed snaps. It helps reduce incoming light and improves privacy when attached.

The liner can be removed when a lighter, more breathable window treatment is preferred.

Three Ways to Use

Light-Filtering Configuration
Use the linen-look outer panels without the liners to soften daylight while keeping the room bright.

Room-Darkening Configuration
Attach the blackout liners to reduce outside light and create a darker environment for resting, sleeping or watching television.

Seasonal Configuration
Use the layered design during hotter or colder months to help reduce direct heat transfer through the window area.

Performance may vary according to curtain color, window size, installation position and surrounding light.

Suggested Package Contents

  • 2 linen-look curtain panels
  • 2 removable blackout liners
  • Concealed connecting snaps
  • 8 metal grommets per curtain panel
  • Care and installation instructions

Curtain rod, brackets and decorative tiebacks are not included unless specifically stated in the final package.

Suggested Curtain Dimensions

Each Panel

  • Width: 52 inches
  • Length: 84 inches

Combined Width

  • Total flat width: 104 inches

The curtains are designed to fit many standard bedroom and living-room windows. For a fuller appearance, the combined curtain width should generally exceed the actual window width.

Verify final dimensions against the manufactured product before publishing the listing.

Grommet-Top Construction

The metal grommets allow the panels to slide directly onto a compatible curtain rod.

Benefits include:

  • Faster installation
  • Smooth opening and closing
  • Evenly distributed fabric folds
  • Clean contemporary appearance
  • No curtain hooks required

Confirm the final grommet diameter before specifying curtain-rod compatibility.

Light and Privacy Control

When the blackout liners are attached, the layered fabric helps reduce:

  • Direct sunlight
  • Streetlights
  • Headlights
  • Early-morning brightness
  • Outside visibility
  • Screen glare

The product should not be advertised as providing complete 100% blackout unless the exact fabric and finished curtain have been tested.

Thermal Performance

The detachable liner creates an additional fabric layer between the window and the room. This may help reduce direct summer heat and limit cold drafts around the window area.

Actual thermal performance depends on:

  • Window construction
  • Curtain coverage
  • Fabric thickness
  • Distance from the wall
  • Installation height
  • Gaps around the curtain edges
  • Indoor and outdoor temperatures

Do not publish specific energy-saving percentages without supporting test results.

  3. Decide whether the blackout liners are required.
  4. Align each liner with the back of its outer curtain panel.
  5. Connect all concealed snaps from top to bottom.
  6. Make sure the liner hangs flat without twisting.
  7. Slide the grommets onto the curtain rod.
  8. Arrange the panels into even folds.
  9. Check that both panels open and close smoothly.
  10. Adjust the rod position when additional light coverage is required.

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Separate the blackout liners from the outer panels before washing.
  • Close or secure the snap fasteners to reduce snagging.
  • Machine wash separately in cold water on a gentle cycle.
  • Use mild detergent.
  • Do not use bleach.
  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat if permitted by the final care label.
  • Use a low-temperature iron on the outer fabric when necessary.
  • Do not iron directly over blackout coatings or connecting snaps.
  • Make sure all components are completely dry before reassembly.

Always follow the final care label attached to the manufactured product.

Safety Information

Install the curtain rod and brackets using suitable wall fasteners. Make sure the hardware can support the combined weight of the outer curtains and blackout liners.

Keep the curtains away from open flames, space heaters, radiators, stovetops and other high-temperature equipment. Do not allow young children to pull, climb or hang from the fabric.
